Re: Ethics Training Available from NJLM
We feel that it is vitally important for all elected and appointed officials to be aware of the ethics landscape especially given national, state and local developments. The Annual League Conference offers you an excellent value in keeping your staff well informed. Please note on our preliminary conference workshop schedule the hundreds of hours of potential CEU’s for your certified staff and education for all municipal officials in the area of ethics. http://njslom.com/95thconf/conference-schedule.html
For much more, visit the Ethics Resource Center at the League web site.
League General Counsel Bill Kearns is offering a seminar entitled “Ethics and Conflicts of Interest.” This will be held on two dates this summer, June 15 at the Bethlehem Community Center in Asbury and June 25 at the Burlington Township Community Room in Burlington Township. Both will be from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, and cover ethical conduct, financial disclosure, case studies, and more. We are currently working with the Department of Community Affairs to obtain CEU credits for these seminars. Cost is $55.00 for members and $75.00 for non-members. To register, Click here, download the registration form, complete and fax it with your voucher to (609) 695-0151. If you have any questions, please contact Suzanne Delany at SDelany@njslom.com or 609-695-3481 ext 111.
The League can also arrange for a seminar in your municipality for all employees or for employees from a combination of municipalities. Mr. Kearns has been offering this seminar for the past three years, and has been advising towns as municipal attorney for much longer than that. If you are interested, please contact Bill Dressel at email@example.com.
We are committed to providing the latest information to you and your staff on the broad spectrum of issues you deal with in governing your community and if you have any questions on our overall service offerings please do not hesitate to contact me.
William G. Dressel, Jr.
Very truly yours,
