Re: Mayoral Invitation to Intercultural Trip to Turkey
The Interfaith Dialog Center has asked us to invite you to join one of our traditional intercultural trips to Turkey between July 8 and 18 or July 18 and 28 (The dates indicated are departure dates from the US and Turkey). You may pick the date that best fits your schedule.
Interfaith Dialog Center is a non-profit organization established in 2003 in New Jersey to foster dialogue and understanding between faiths, cultures and civilizations. We believe that by establishing a strong solidarity among all, we will make a contribution to making our world a better place to live. In that respect, it is IDC’s goal to come together with people from all faiths to build a strong foundation for ultimate solidarity, harmony and tolerance.
Trips to Turkey sponsored by IDC are very instrumental in building bridges between the Turkish American Community and other faith groups as well as other segments of the larger society. Turkey has always been at crossroads for civilizations and beliefs, not to mention its marvelous natural beauties, warm hospitality, and world famous cuisine, which makes the country particularly interesting for tourism.
IDC hopes that trips to Turkey will bring diverse people together, help them get to know of a different culture as well as get to know of each other. Friendships developed on these trips, we hope, will turn into cooperation for a better New Jersey, the US and the world at large.
Projected places of visit include Istanbul, Izmir, Konya, Antalya, Cappadocia and Bursa. IDC and our Turkish co-sponsors will cover all travel, lodging and food costs inside Turkey. Travels include bus and flight connections. We kindly ask our guests to purchase only their own round trip flight tickets to/from Turkey. We will make all arrangements in Turkey like hotel and domestic flight reservation, except for minor expenses like tips and mini bars at the hotels.
Please kindly R.S.V.P by email or phone to this non-transferable invitation as soon as possible to allow us to make necessary arrangements in Turkey. For further details contact Levent Koc, Ph.D, CEO, Interfaith Dialog Center, Phone: 973-353-9333 Fax: 973-353-9331 or www.idcnj.org
Very truly yours,
Jim Anzaldi, Mayor, Clifton William G. Dressel, Jr.
