RE: Invitation to Canada Day in Trenton (Thursday, March 18, 2010)
The Honorable Daniel F. Sullivan, Canada’s Consul General in New York, has asked me to extend his invitation to all New Jersey Mayors, to join him at an evening reception in our State’s Capital City, to celebrate our special and dynamic with our Neighbor to the North at Canada Day in Trenton. In addition to presenting you with the opportunity to learn how that relationship can help you to help your business community, this will be a great way to recognize our appreciation for and friendship with America’s most reliable ally.
The text of the Consulate’s letter follows.
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
Dear New Jersey Mayors:
Attached please find an invitation for the Canadian Consulate General’s Canada Day in Trenton evening reception March 18. We hope you can join us.
Canada and New Jersey are partners on a wide variety of important issues – particularly on business, trade, and economics – that affect our citizens on a day-to-day basis. As part of our Canada Day event, and our work in New Jersey, generally, the Consulate General is always looking to reach out at the local level, and create connections that will broaden and enhance this relationship.
Our Consul General Daniel Sullivan will be at the reception and will address our guests on these matters, and he is looking forward to meeting with you and our other contacts from different sectors throughout the state. It’ll be great to see you there.
