CALL for Submissions
NJBIZ & The New Jersey League of Municipalities
Public Private Partnership Awards – P3
This is a CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS for the inaugural public private partnership awards.
NJBIZ and the New Jersey League of Municipalities will recognize Innovation in Public Private Partnerships at an annual recognition program in June.
This year, the Innovation in Public Private Partnerships Awards include any P3 innovations undertaken in the past 12 months. We invite you to submit any recent innovative P3 for recognition.
This event was established to honor and recognize unique public private partnership programs that showcase innovative and practical approaches to, and notable successful examples of, government and private sector partnerships that achieve public benefits.
We will honor these innovative approaches at a cocktail reception on June 22nd, 2016 at a location to be determined.
P3’s are all around us and should be recognized as a vital method to achieve public goals. To help understand the P3 concept, see the December issue of the League magazine New Jersey Municipalities with an article “Renewing Spaces with Public Private Partnerships”. The article tells how a West Caldwell P3 resulted in borrowing private land to help satisfy a public need for recreation space. In addition, there was an article detailing how a Toms River partnership with the BID and several Foundations brought outdoor art and sculpture to the community.
The magazine can be viewed here http://www.njmmagazine.org/
Definition of a public private partnership

Applications to submit your P3 can be downloaded from NJBIZ and the New Jersey League of Municipalities’ websites, at http://www.njbiz.com/section/Public-Private-Awards-Nom and www.njslom.org respectively.
