Re: Proposed Agreement Could Remove Verizon’s Service Quality Standards Placed on
the BPU’s Agenda for Tomorrow May 19th
On May 12th we reached out to you regarding a proposed stipulation agreement between Verizon and the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) which would, among other things, deregulate basic telephone service and remove existing service quality standards.
Unfortunately, after only nine days of being open for comment, this matter will be up for approval before the BPU Commissioners tomorrow Tuesday May 19th.
The nine day comment period for this matter has closed.
However, it is important for the League to understand the scope of this problem. If your town has experienced problems with their Verizon landline service please describe the issue, on municipal letterhead, and email it to Ed Purcell Esq. at firstname.lastname@example.org .
