Re: Notice of Cops in Shops Grant Program
The Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (Division) recently issued a notice in the New Jersey Register that it has received funding for its Cops in Shops Summer Shore Initiative. The Division is the recipient of an $81,000 block grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The purpose of this program is to curb underage drinking by educating youths and parents about its dangers and to provide funds that allow for undercover police officers to monitor retail liquor sales.
This grant program is open to shore municipalities or municipalities that serve as a gateway to shore municipalities.
Completed application packets are due to the Division no later than 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015. No facsimile copies will be accepted and no deadlines granted. For more information please see the Division’s notice, available at http://www.njslom.org/press-releases/Cops-in-Shops-Grant-Notice.pdf.
