Re: Training to Prevent Financial Exploitation-NJ Adult Protective Services
NJ Adult Protective Services, through a federal Social Services Block Grant, has developed community trainings to help educate residents of a community about the types of financial exploitation that occur following a disaster and the most effective ways to respond. Trained instructors will bring this no-cost training program to a municipality, organization or community group. In addition to the 90-minute training, each participant will receive a handbook containing practical information on this topic. These “mobile trainings” are intended for the residents of storm-stricken communities in New Jersey. Up to 60 trainings will be provided under this grant, which are expected to begin in March 2015.
