Re: NJLM’s 2015 State Legislative Priorities
The enclosed brochure is provided to you as a service. It provides a brief summary of the League’s major State Legislative Priorities for 2015.
The League’s Legislative staff spends a lot of time and energy working on specific bills. That’s not what this insert is about, however. For this, we asked them to take a step back to better appreciate the big picture. They identified three major areas of concern for us: Property Tax Relief; Defending Home Rule; and Promoting Smart Growth. They’ve carefully analyzed these issues. Then, they boiled their analysis down to a concise summary of the challenges and opportunities before us.
We hope you find this helpful, as you, yourself, evaluate State policy proposals being tackled by New Jersey’s Two Hundred and sixteenth Legislature, over the rest of this year.
If you would like to discuss these, or any other issues, that you would like to advance or consider during the upcoming year, please feel free to contact me, through the league office, or through our Governmental Affairs Director Mike Cerra at 609-695-3481 ext. 120 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for all that you do for the people of your community and for local government in our State.
Very truly yours,
Hon. Brian Wahler, League President and
