At the Annual League Conference
Remember to recycle!

The New Jersey State League of Municipalities, Atlantic City Convention Center, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and the Atlantic County Utilities Authority have worked together to provide plenty of recycling opportunities and reminders to recycle at the conference.  On April 21, 1987, Governor Thomas Kean signed into law the New Jersey Source Separation and Recycling Act. The groundbreaking law made recycling mandatory in NJ for residents, businesses and institutions, and required each municipality to implement a recycling plan within one year to achieve a 50% reduction in municipal solid waste. New Jersey was the first state in the country to require every resident to recycle, so while at the conference remember to do your part!

Follow the League for up to the minute schedule changes and conference related news during Conference week on Facebook (www.facebook.com/njleague) and Twitter (https://twitter.com) using #njleague.
