RE: Grant Seminar Series Helps Municipal Officials Find Funding to Meet Their Needs

Dear Municipal Clerk,

Have budget cuts forced your town to stop providing some recreation programs or meet other community needs? Does the governing body  need to make the hard choice of not replacing the fire truck or repairing Main Street? Do not despair. There are other avenues in which a municipality can still provide these and other services that they need without sacrificing essential services. One of these avenues is grant funding. The New Jersey League of Municipalities is presenting two programs this October aimed at aiding Municipalities in finding and applying for Grants.

The first of these programs will be a webinar held on October 16, 2014 titled “How to Find Grants That Meet Your Municipalities Needs.” This 60 minute webinar will teach municipal officials how to navigate the web to find right source of funding for their needs.

The second of these programs is an in-person seminar held on October 29, at the Crowne Plaza in Monroe Township titled Taking the Mystery Out of Applying for Grants.” This hands on program will teach municipal officials to understand the broader concept of grants as well as the process to construct a high quality grant application.

Both of these programs will be led by Tammy Wetzel from Triad Associates and Continuing Education Credits (CEUS) are available for both of these programs.
