Re: League’s Bureau of Municipal Information
The League’s Bureau of Municipal Information provides a variety of services and resources to NJLM’s local government membership that can be utilized to increase efficiency and provide direction. Within the Bureau are resources on over 20 topics that contain pertinent links, news articles and information on legislation effecting topics such as the Arbitration Cap, Affordable Housing, Same Sex Marriages and much more. The Bureau provides several advisory and consultation services, included but not limited to a Legal Consultation Service and Interlocal Guidance. The Grant Resource Center provides municipalities with a monthly article and featured grant opportunities; League members may also sign up to receive a free email newsletter of grant announcements. On the League website members can find a listing of available publications that provide guidance on topics such as energy aggregation and salary comparisons. And municipalities looking for model ordinances and shared services agreement can find examples in the League’s libraries. The Bureau has been a key service that the League provides its membership for over 95 years
The League is pleased to announce that the Bureau of Municipal Information has been given a new layout, making it easier to navigate the services and resources offered. The newly redesigned Bureau can be found at njslom.org/bureau.
A new resource center has also been added to the Bureau on social media, and contains helpful links and PowerPoint copies of League presentations on setting up social media profiles. These links can be found at njslom.org/socialmedia.html. Be sure to follow the League on Facebook and Twitter to receive updates and League announcements in your feeds (facebook.com/njleague and twitter.com/nj_league).
We hope that you find the above services useful, and encourage you to visit the new and improved Bureau of Municipal Information.
Very Truly Yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
