Re: URGENT LEGISLATIVE ALERT
NEED ACTION ON INTEREST ARBITRATION CAP
As we reported yesterday, the legislature took action to extend the arbitration cap. (See our March 27 Dear Mayor Letter).
While the Senate voted, 33-1, to concur with the Governor’s recommended amendments, the Assembly has not taken action. With only days left before the cap is set to sunset, now more than ever, it is imperative that the Assembly take action. Please contact your Assembly representatives as soon as possible to urge them to concur with the Governor’s amendments as time is of the essence.
Since it is uncertain if the Assembly will take action prior to the April 1 sunset, if you have an unsettled Police or Fire contract we suggest you contact your labor attorney to discuss your options before Tuesday’s deadline.
Questions on this legislation can be directed to either Lori Buckelew at 609-695-3481 or firstname.lastname@example.org x112 or Mike Cerra at 609-695-3481 x120 or email@example.com.
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
