RE: Invitation to attend Homeland Security Active Shooter Workshop
The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness wants to invite you to attend its Active Shooter Workshop. This informative one-day session has been designed to provide municipal, community and business leaders with awareness and the tools needed to develop Active Shooter Plans.This workshop will also familiarize participants with local resources and organizations and how these entities will coordinate and respond.The Workshop is based on the DHS Training Course Active Shooter: What you can do. The workshop will include the following topics:
- History of Active Shooter Incidents
- Indicators for Potential Workplace Violence
- Instruction on How to Develop an Active Shooter Plan (prepare for, react to, recover from active shooter incident)
- Scenario Based Exercise on Handling an Active Shooter Incident in your facility
This session is scheduled for:

Time: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm (Registration 8:00-8:30AM)
Location: University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, One Plainsboro Rd. (off of Rt. 1 Plainsboro, NJ 08536
There are NO registration fees, but seating is limited to those who preregister.
