22nd Annual Mayor’s Legislative Day Has Been Rescheduled for March 12, 2014
Dear Municipal Clerk:
The Mayors' Legislative Day is unique occasion for local leaders to interact with individuals who are responsible for setting the agenda for Property Tax Reform, Affordable Housing, Shared Services, Interest Arbitration, Utility Issues, and Sandy Recovery. It is also a great way to hear, first hand, about the State’s legislative agenda from the Governor, Administration officials and key members of the Senate and Assembly.
The 22ndAnnual Mayor’s Legislative Day has been rescheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at The State House Annex in Committee Room 4. Registration and networking begin at 8:30 a.m.(please note that there are new security procedures so you may need to arrive earlier), with Welcoming Remarks at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Commissioner’s Roundtable with a Question and Answer Session. From 10:45a.m.to 11:45a.m. there will be a “Meet the Legislative Leaders: A Panel Discussion” led by NJ101.5 News Correspondent Kevin McArdle. Rounding out the program is the League’s 16th Annual Elected Officials Hall of Fame Induction (details for this can be found on the League site www.njslom.com under www.njslom.org/letters/2013-1008-elected-HOF.html).Lunch will be followed by an informative tour of the Statehouse.
