RE: September is National Preparedness Month
As a reminder of the need for constant vigilance, we set aside the month of September as National Preparedness Month.
To promote timely and responsible emergency preparedness, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) encourages everyone to join the National Preparedness Community. As a local official, you can promote this effort to help your municipality and all Americans better prepare to face and respond to disasters and emergencies in their homes, businesses, and communities.
As a National Preparedness Month Community Member, your efforts to bring emergency preparedness to your locality can make a difference.
You can visit the National Preparedness Community website at http://community.fema.gov/connect.ti/readynpm/grouphome to register and to get all the details to share with local families and businesses about FEMA’s four-fold program for preparedness: “Collect, Collaborate, Educate and Empower.”
You always appreciated the importance of preparedness. National Preparedness Month is a very good time to remind others.
Thanks for all you have done, and continue to do, for all your fellow citizens before, during and after any and all emergencies.
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
