RE: New Jersey Insurer Offers Free Teen Driver Safety Program

Dear Mayor:

I am pleased to announce a new and free service available to high schools in your municipality.

In acknowledgment of their 100th anniversary this year, New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company (NJM) has launched a Teen Driver Safety Program. Starting this September, NJM will visit New Jersey high schools to give a completely free presentation about safe teen driving. Topics that will be covered include distracted driving, fatigued driving, New Jersey driving laws, and other driver-safety topics.

Carsten Boethig, a retired State Trooper with more than 25 years of service on New Jersey's roads, will represent NJM. His presentations can be scheduled completely at the school’s convenience. Durations can last from 20-90 minutes, and locations can include classrooms, auditoriums, gymnasiums, or whatever venue works for the school. NJM can even tailor the contents of the presentation to the needs of each school.

Best of all, the program is a public service that is completely funded by NJM. There is absolutely no cost to schools, towns, counties, or even the state of New Jersey.

Each school district administration will be responsible for coordinating events with NJM. However, you can promote this program to superintendents and principals in your community to help make sure that teen drivers in your jurisdiction can benefit from this free service.

It's easy to schedule an NJM Teen Driver Safety Presentation. Please tell the school administrators in your area to call Mr. Boethig at (609) 433-5859 or send an e-mail to him at Please visit full details of the program.

I have personally previewed NJM’s presentation and I feel every New Jersey teen driver can benefit from it. I hope you take the opportunity to help make New Jersey’s roads safer by promoting this important program to the school administrations in your district.

Sincerely yours,

William G. Dressel, Jr.
Executive Director
