Re: Continuing the State’s Superstorm Sandy Enhanced Incentives

Dear Mayor:

Timing is everything along with location! New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) just approved a $567 million Fiscal Year (FY) 2014 Clean Energy Program (CEP) Budget.  Continuing the State’s Superstorm Sandy enhanced incentives, the new budget also creates greater flexibility in the Combined Heat and Power/Fuel Cell programs (CHP/FC). This program is designed to increase program flexibility to enable reallocation of funding based upon participation levels between the both the small and large CHP/FC offerings. The total FY 2014 budget $65 million for CHP/FC programs.

Among the types of facilities could be eligible for this funding are federal state, county or municipal entities and could include communication centers and private hospitals. The public and critical facilities could include police stations, fire and rescue facilities, hospitals, shelters, schools, nursing homes, water supply and waste treatment facilities, and other structures the community identifies as essential to the health and welfare of the population and that are especially important following a disaster.

So the time is now and the place to be is the Natural Gas Industry Coalition’s (NGIC) Combined Heat and Power: The Next Generation Conference.

Information on the event maybe found at:

Very truly yours,

William G. Dressel, Jr.
Executive Director
