Re: League Federal Updates and National Links Page Changed
We invite you to visit our recently renovated and reorganized “Federal Updates and National Links” page at http://www.njslom.org/federal_updates.html.
At the top of the page, you will find links to Our “Washington Watch” letters, which detail the latest developments in Washington on issues crucial to New Jersey municipalities. Also, take a minute to review our “The Making of Our Nation’s Laws” brochure. It’s a great resource that you might want to share with your schools, citizens and local civics groups.
When questions come up about the proper display of the American Flag, go to the Federal Links of Interest section of the page, where you can access the definitive Congressional Research Service report on the Flag Code. That report is provided to all Members of Congress and to Congressional Committees and used to ensure proper respect for Old Glory in the U.S. Capitol.
The page includes links to the Library of Congress, where you can follow the progress of all Federal bills and resolutions; as well as to every Cabinet Level Department and Executive Branch Agency.
Our National League of Cities links can put you in touch with all the advocacy, research, education and training services provided by NLC to municipalities and State municipal leagues throughout the Country. Links to National and International Organizations are also provided, to give you access to excellent resources and perspectives on matters confronting local officials everywhere.
If you municipality and your citizens can benefit from access to these resources, please feel free to link your municipal websites to our “Federal Updates” page or to any of the sites listed there. We hope you find it helpful.
If you have any questions or suggestions about our Washington Watch activities, contact our coordinator of Federal Affairs, Jon Moran, at 609-695-3481, ext. 121 or email@example.com
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
