Re:      NJLM’s 2013 State Legislative Priorities

Dear Mayor:

Last month, I had the honor of being elected President of the State League of Municipalities. As your President, I will do all I can to advance better municipal government by developing meaningful working relationships with policymakers at all levels of government.

The linked article ( provides a brief summary of the League’s major State Legislative Priorities for 2013.

The legislative summary is geared to setting forth general areas of interest and concern, not specific bills. More detailed information on our State and Federal legislative priorities can be found on our website

I hope this document is helpful, as you evaluate State proposals and legislation being tackled by New Jersey’s Two Hundred and Fifteenth Legislature, over the next year.

If you would like to discuss any of these or other issues that you would like the League to advance or consider during the upcoming year, please feel free to contact me directly, at 609-443-4000, ext. 252, or at or through League Executive Director, Bill Dressel at (609) 695-3481 ext. 122 or

Thank you for your service to our municipalities and our State.

Very truly yours,

Janice S. Mironov
President, New Jersey State League of Municipalities
Mayor, East Windsor Township
