Re: Notice from the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security
On behalf of the Director of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security, Edward Dickson, we are forwarding the attached notice to you.
Very truly yours,
|William G. Dressel,Jr.
|Hon. Timothy McDonough, Mayor Hope Township
Chair, League Emergency Management Preparedness
As part of our mission to keep New Jersey prepared, the Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness compiles a listing of special events that take place in and around New Jersey. The list is then distributed to law enforcement agencies throughout the State so they can be situationally aware of events that could impact them. This list includes, but is not limited to outdoor holiday events, parades, craft fairs, and sporting events.
To ensure we have a comprehensive and current list of special events, we ask that you report special events occurring in your communities using our public website. The awareness of events such as these around the State adds to the overall resilience of every community.
Please visit http://njhomelandsecurity.gov/ and on the upper left side you will see the “Special Events Submission Form.” The form takes only a few minutes to complete, and is sent directly to us merely by clicking on “done” at the end. We ask that you also share this information with the office/agency in your town that handles permits or other matters relating to special events.
Thank you in advance for providing this important information. With your assistance, our Special Events listing will ensure that we can all do our best to safeguard our communities, and better protect the people of New Jersey.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jeffrey Gold at Jeffrey.email@example.com with any questions.
