Re: Request for Nominations for NJBIA New Good Neighbor Awards
For over 50 years, the New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA) and New Jersey Business Magazine have looked to promote economic development by recognizing companies that have invested in their own businesses and in the State by building or renovating their facilities. The “New Good Neighbor (NGN) Awards Program” highlights the construction or renovation of significant commercial, retail, office and industrial facilities.
At the request of NJBIA, I have often served on the Judging Committee for the New Good Neighbor Awards Program in the past. This year, they have asked me to encourage all New Jersey local officials to submit nominations for the 2014 round of awards.
The NGN program highlights new, renovated or expanded plants, office and commercial buildings, and retail centers, excluding individual stores within shopping centers. (Public and non-taxpaying facilities are not eligible.) Construction or capital expenditures at the nominated facility must have been completed during the past two years, between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2013.
Do you know of a new or renovated project that should be nominated?
Have your heard of a great new office building that is bringing more jobs to your municipality?
We have attached the 2014 nomination form for your consideration. (http://www.njslom.org/documents/14NGNEntry-BIA.pdf) NJBIA is looking to make 2014 a very large and varied pool of nominations and with your help I know they can accomplish this. Good luck to you and to your nominee.
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
