Re:   Free Webinar Addresses Safety Issues Related to Hurricane Sandy Clean-up Efforts

Dear Mayor:

The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)-School of Public Health has requested we advise you of their free webinar for workers and contractors involved in clean-up efforts following Hurricane Sandy.  The webinar, hosted by the New Jersey/New York Hazardous Materials Worker Training Center at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)-School of Public Health, will be held on Friday, November 16, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Information that may be useful for homeowners will also be provided.

“Safety Issues with Clean-up from Hurricane Sandy – What to Look for and How to Protect Yourself” will be led by John Malool, MS, of the UMDNJ-School of Public Health, and will be based on lessons learned during clean-up efforts supported by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  Webinar participants will benefit from expert advice regarding hazards seen and unseen left in the wake of Hurricane Sandy and will be able to participate in a question and answer session following the presentation.

Anyone interested in participating in the webinar can do so by logging onto the following website at 2 p.m. on Friday: CLICK HERE

More information about the webinar is available by calling Karen Dunning, UMDNJ-School of Public Health, at 732-235-5017.

Very truly yours,

William G. Dressel, Jr.
Executive Director
