URGENT ALERT! FEMA CONFERENCE CALL TODAY!
We have been asked to get the following out to all New Jersey Mayors as quickly as possible. Mayors and Emergency Management personnel of municipalities in Atlantic, Bergen, Cape May, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset and Union counties are invited to participate in a Conference Call this afternoon.
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
Dear Community Leaders:
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and The New Jersey Office of Emergency Management (NJOEM) will meet with New Jersey local government officials to update them on recovery programs and operations.
This is a result of President Obama’s declaration of a major disaster in New Jersey from damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. Designated counties at this writing are Atlantic, Bergen, Cape May, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset, and Union counties.
Members of FEMA’s Intergovernmental Affairs division will communicate with local government officials in the impacted areas and are available to support your needs. You may also request support as you conduct community meetings to learn about current unmet needs as well as issues that may arise as the recovery goes forward.
For local officials in the designated counties of Atlantic, Bergen, Cape May, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset, and Union, FEMA and NJOEM will hold an informational conference call at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2012. To join the conference call, dial (800) 857-9690 and then, when prompted for the pass code, say: “New Jersey IGA.”
Please join us on today’s conference call. Additionally, please contact one of us at your convenience to schedule a meeting or discuss your needs.
