Re: Red Tape Review Commission Public Hearing Tuesday, October 9, 2012
The Red Tape Review Commission just announced its next public hearing. On Tuesday, October 9, 2012, the Red Tape Review Commission will hold a public meeting at The County College of Morris, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph in the Student Center, Davidson Room B, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm. Parking is available in Lot 7. Members of the public are invited to provide commentary that concerns overly burdensome regulations or processes in their interactions with State government.
Witnesses are encouraged to register before the meeting by emailing the Commission at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephoning (609) 984-6677 to reserve a place in the speakers’ lineup. Also, witnesses should submit a written copy of their comments, preferably beforehand. This can also be done via the red tape e-mail address. Witnesses submitting comments on the day of the meeting should provide 10 copies to the Commission staff so that each Commissioner will have a copy to reference during the speaker’s presentation. If applicable, the Commission requests that witnesses provide the citations to the specific provision(s) of the New Jersey Administrative Code that they propose to discuss. To accommodate all attendees, commentary is limited to 3 minutes per speaker.
Since the creation of the Red Tape Review Commission, the League has presented testimony on unfunded mandates and the local public contracting process. Information on our previous testimony - November 2009, March 2010, July 2012 is available on our website. In addition, you can find a copy of the July 2010 League Mandates List on the League’s website.
