2012 Orientation Meetings Start Off with a Little Snow

Despite the snowstorm last weekend, the first of the Newly Elected Orientations kicked off on Saturday January 21st. The event was well received and attended by newly-elected officials from many North Jersey towns. Mayor Dawn Zimmer of Hoboken moderated the program with speakers that included Marc Pfeiffer , Deputy Director, Division of Local Government Services, Joseph Valenti Former Chief of Bureau of Local Management Services, Division of Local Government Services, DCA, Robert Casey Director of Legislative Affairs, New Jersey Municipal Management Association, Keith Kazmark, RMC, Elmwood Park and Treasurer of the Municipal Clerks Association of New Jersey, William Kearns Jr., Esquire, League General Counsel, and Joseph Hannon Esquire, of the Genova, Burns, and Giantomasi Law Firm. They spoke on a range of topics including, Labor relations, Budgeting, Ethics, and Professional Development.
