Re: Save the Date – 21st Annual Mayor’s Legislative Day on February 6, 2013
      
Dear Mayor:

The Mayors' Legislative Day is unique occasion for local leaders to interact with individuals who are responsible for setting the agenda for return of full funding of energy tax receipts, Hurricane Sandy, shared services, interest and arbitration reform, and affordable housing .  It is also a great way to hear, first hand, about the State’s legislative agenda from the Governor, Administration officials and key members of the Senate and Assembly. Governor Christie has agreed to speak at this program.

The 21st Annual Mayor’s Legislative Day will take place on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at The State House Annex in Committee Room 4.  Registration and networking begin at 8:30 a.m. (please note that there are new security procedures so you may need to arrive earlier), with Welcoming Remarks at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Commissioner’s Roundtable with a Question and Answer Session. From 10:45a.m.to 11:45a.m. we will tape a portion of “Meet the Legislative Leaders: A Panel Discussion” for a special episode of “On the Record” with NJTV’s Chief Political Correspondent Michael Aron. Immediately following the taping, the panel discussion will continue with the Legislative Leaders and Mayors.  

Rounding out the program is the League’s 15th Annual Elected Officials Hall of Fame Induction.  Details for this can be found on the League site http://www.njslom.org/letters/2012-0612-hall-of-fame.html. Lunch will be followed by an informative tour of the Statehouse.
