RE: Senate Voting Record on S 2

Dear Mayor:

As indicated in yesterday’s letter (http://www.njslom.org/letters/2012-1129-shared-services.html), the Senate has passed S-2. The bill now advances to the General Assembly, where it will join its original companion bill, A-1171, in the Assembly Housing and Local Government Committee.

The League of Municipalities had urged Senators to vote “No” on S-2, which now includes amendments that would weaken management reforms included in an earlier version. The bill would also threaten to penalize taxpayers.

Please contact your representatives in the General Assembly and urge them to oppose S-2/A1171.
