Re: A Short and Simple Glimpse at the Property Tax in New Jersey
The League is making available our 2011 special report explaining why property taxes in New Jersey are so high! I invite you to share this brochure with others in your administration and with your taxpayers. Link to brochure http://www.njslom.org/tax_brochure.html
We are hopeful that this overview of the situation will help you to better participate in the debate over this critical issue. As you are well aware, rising property taxes are a major factor in driving people away from New Jersey. The time has come to lower these regressive taxes with the help of state officials.
Again, thank you for taking the time to familiarize yourself with the history of the debate and the steps your League is currently taking to bring about property tax reform. Further details on our advocacy efforts can be found on our home page www.njslom.org (see Management Reform & Mandate Relief News and Important Issues for current developments.)
This report is also posted on the League’s website: www.njslom.org/tax_brochure.html. You may want to link this report to your municipal website, to assist in sharing this information with you constituents. While the supply lasts we have printed copies of this reprint you can get by contacting Shirley Cade at 609-695-3481 ext. 114 or firstname.lastname@example.org
