RE: Housing Trust Fund Extension Heads to the Governor
Yesterday, the State Senate approved A-2950/S-2011, which would allow a two-year extension for the commitment of municipal housing trusts. The bill, supported by the League, passed with a bipartisan vote of 27-12. It previously passed the General Assembly.
A-2950/S-2011 now heads to the Governor for his consideration. We urge you to contact your contact in the Governor’s Intergovernmental Relations office or the Governor’s office directly and ask him to sign A-2950/S-2011.
For more on this legislation please see the League’s letters of June 26, 2012. And please note the significant development of a Monmouth County Judge ordering a temporary injunction prohibiting the forfeiture of Marlboro’s trust funds as detailed in our letter of June 27, 2012.

Very truly yours,
