Re: League Interlocal Advisory Service
With a renewed focus on shared services we want to remind you of our long standing advisory service on Interlocal Services. As you consider sharing more services to help save taxpayer money, do not forget to make use of the League’s Interlocal Advisory Center on our website: http://www.njslom.org/interlocaladvisorycenter.html#consultation
The Center has a shared services board, the latest interlocal news and legislation, magazine articles, sample agreements, success stories, and publications available from the League.
In addition, the League offers an Interlocal Advisory Service. This service provides technical, experienced assistance in developing ideas to work with neighboring municipalities, and anticipating impacts and potential consequences of your interlocal cooperation proposals.
Through this service, you can discuss suggestions for shared services, discuss plans and proposals, examine and brainstorm potential alternative strategies and options for providing needed services, and run your interlocal services ideas by an objective outside party. This advisory service is for a basic one-hour consultancy and for site visits of one-half day when determined appropriate by the League and the consultant.
If you have a general question regarding interlocal services, please contact Taran Samhammer, at (609) 695-3481 extension 124 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
