Re: New Local Finance Notices
2011 CY Budget Deadline Extensions
Revised Bid Acceptance Dates
Dear Mayor:
Today, the Division of Local Government Services has released two Local Finance Notices that impact bidding procedure and budget deadlines.
The first is a revised Local Finance Notice 2011-1(R) with changes to the 2011 Table of State and Federal Holiday Bid Acceptance Dates. The table has been updated to correct two dates in error (Lincoln's Birthday and Good Friday) and to clarify which holidays are state and federal.
The second is Local Finance Notice 2011-2, CY 2011 Budget Deadline Extensions and Changes. This notice outlines the proposed changes in budget transmittal, introduction, and adoption dates for CY 2011 municipal and county budgets as well the key dates for local units considering levy cap referendums under the 2010 Levy Cap Law. The Local Finance Board will be considering the proposed changes at their January 14, 2011 meeting. The Division will send a GovConnect e-mail to confirm the changes.
