Re: Plan to Attend the 2011 Annual Conference
November 15, 16, and 17
Atlantic City Convention Center
At the 2011 League of Municipalities Conference, we are offering over 80 educational sessions, covering topics such as ethics, municipal budgeting, the recent pension and health benefit reforms, technology, grant funding, shared services, women in government, and environmental policies, among many others. You can find a full list of sessions at www.njslom.com/96thconf/worksessions.html.
This year, over half our educational sessions offer Continuing Education Credits, which many municipal officials need to maintain their certifications. This includes continuing Legal Education credits. Many municipal officials will be able to satisfy much of their required education credits over the course of this three-day conference.
In addition to the educational session, we are expecting 700 exhibitors ranging from state agencies to suppliers of playground equipment. You can browse the different options available for your municipal needs in one place.
In order to meet the needs of our officials attending the conference, we have moved the extremely useful Consultation Period to Tuesday, November 15 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Here, you can meet with experts from over 100 topic areas, including environmental regulation, affordable housing, local government services, and public contracting. Our consultants help you obtain advice and up to date information more efficiently and effectively than being in your office making dozens of phone calls. It puts you face-to-face with hundreds of experts, state officials, and colleagues who can answer your questions, offer the benefit of best practice advice and provide you with contact information for any future issues.
We look forward to seeing you in Atlantic City.
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
