RE: Important Conference Sessions
For the First Time (or First Time in a While) Conference Attendee
Dear Mayor:
In preparation for our 96th Annual Conference, we will be sending a series of letters highlighting sessions in a particular area of interest or for a particular group of conference participants. We’ve been doing this for the past few years and we’ve gotten a positive response. Each letter suggests a possible itinerary for a conference attendee, not a listing of ‘required courses.’
This letter lists some sessions that might be especially helpful for someone who might not be familiar with the conference experience. This letter is the first in a series, which, we hope, you’ll find useful.
The conference schedule for sessions that are of interest to first time conference attendees is as follows:

This informal session runs from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. It includes about 100 ‘round tables’ staffed by experts in a whole host of specific areas, as well as key state and federal program contacts, giving conference delegates the opportunity for one-on-one consultations on virtually any topic of municipal interest, and an excellent way to update your rolodex. A future letter will be dedicated to more information on this unique opportunity.
** The Mayors Box Lunch and the League Luncheon are ticketed events. Visit the League’s website at http://www.njslom.org/96thconf/index.html and click on the links for the Mayors Box Lunch and League Luncheon for more information.
We hope these sessions will help to prepare you to better meet the needs of your fellow citizens. For more information on these, and other, sessions, visit the League’s website at www.njslom.com.
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
