The Sustainable Jersey™ program at the Municipal Land Use Center at The College of New Jersey is pleased to offer you the opportunity to utilize TCNJ students to assist your municipality in achieving some of your Sustainable Jersey actions.
Online application here: https://tcnj.qualtrics.com//SE/?SID=SV_6RUeJnifI6cGv0U
Applications must be completed online by August 5, 2011.
Questions should be directed to Winnie Fatton at firstname.lastname@example.org or (609)771-2855.
As part of a new and innovative partnership, Sustainable Jersey and the Bonner Center for Civic and Community Engagement will create a team of 6-8 students who will receive tuition scholarships in exchange for helping selected municipalities complete a wide range of projects during the upcoming 2011-2012 academic-year (September-April). The “Bonner-Sustainable Jersey Team” will work with selected municipalities on a weekly basis to help them make progress on their Sustainable Jersey actions. The Bonner Scholars can also leverage additional student volunteers and resources.
We are currently seeking 3-5 municipalities that are interested in joining this initiative. Municipalities which are registered with the Sustainable Jersey program and have active Green Teams are eligible to apply. Selection will be based on a number of factors, including: regional distribution; mix of urban, suburban and rural municipalities; match of projects to student availability and expertise; and ability of the municipality to provide oversight and an appropriate learning environment for students.
