Re: Tour the PSE & G Nuclear facilities in Salem County
Dear Mayors:
LIMITED SPACE, RSVP at your EARLIEST POSSIBLE CONVENIENCE.
WE HAVE 50 SPACES AVAILABLE.
On May 24, 2011 the League's Emergency Management Preparedness Task Force would like to invite you on a "FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED" basis to tour the PSE & G Nuclear facilities in Salem County. Thanks to the generosity of Art Guida, Director of External Affairs at PSE &G, arrangements have been made to tour generating units Salem 1 & 2 and Hope Creek. With the recent world events, this is a very important and timely subject.
The nuclear generating stations utilize two different and distinct cooling systems and we hope that you will leave with a better understanding of nuclear power facilities and their impact on our State and region. We are particularly pleased that the President and COO of PSEG Power will be our host for the day.
