Re: SHARE NJ 5K WALK/RUN – TO SAVE LIVES

Dear Mayor:

As NJ League of Municipalities liaison to the New Jersey Organ and Tissue Sharing Network, I am pleased to announce the inaugural SHARE NJ 5K WALK/RUN - TO SAVE LIVES that will take place on Sunday, June 12, 2011 in New Providence, NJ.  We would be honored if you, your families and members of your community would consider joining us for this very special event.

The goal of the NJ Sharing Network Foundation is to support the work of NJ Sharing Network and to increase the number of lives saved and improved through education, research and public awareness about the benefits of organ and tissue donation.  We are expecting residents from all over the state of New Jersey representing donor families, recipients, volunteers, hospital partners, transplant centers and Foundation supporters. This is a great way for us to work together on a very important mission – to save lives.

With your support, we hope to make the SHARE NJ 5K WALK/RUN - TO SAVE LIVES an amazing day for all involved. The schedule for the day is as follows:

Registration and Packet Pick-up      7:30-9:45am
1 Mile Fun Run                                 9:00am
5K Walk/Run                                     10:00am
Sprout Sprints (50yds)                       11:00am
Program                                             11:15am

We will be walking and running together in honor of those who gave, on behalf of those who received and with hope for those who continue to wait.
