Compliance with Financial Recordkeeping and Reporting Requirement
of a Grant-Funded Program is a must!

A hands-on workshop on journal entries for recording and closing grant accounts in the general ledger. The speakers will provide an in depth look at the grant account in municipal accounting with emphasis on entries and adjustments – including recording transfers and matching fund entries. Report preparation may also be discussed if time permits.

Subject matter will cover the required accounting for and recording of the necessary municipal journal entries for funds covering the Current Funds, Trust Funds, General Capital Fund and Utility Operating, Trust Assessment, and Utility Capital Fund.  In addition to reviewing the various required journal entries, the presentation of each fund’s balance sheet accounts will be covered.
