Staff from the Division of Local Government Services will review the procedures and policies for Calendar Year 2008 budgets and the new property tax levy. This is an important session and Division staff will walk through the changes in budget filing and the procedures for filing budget waivers with the Local Finance Board. The Division will also review new laws enacted since the League Conference in November, including those enacted during the lame duck legislative session. There will also be an update of the status of the programs enacted under the Special Legislative Session on Property Tax Relief.
