Publications

The League offers a wide variety of affordable publications that help municipal officials and others become better informed.  Many publications are updated every year with new information so be sure to check for the latest publication.

Interlocal Advisory Center

One of the most effective ways to provide services is to leverage the economic advantages found in interlocal service agreements. This service helps your municipality forge stronger and more cost effective interlocal agreements.

Local Unit Alignment, Reorganization and Consolidation Commission (LUARCC)

Grant Resource Center

The Grant Resource Center is the most comprehensive information source for obtaining grants in almost every area important to municipal government. Updated monthly with new information and resources.

Recruitment and Selection Advisory Service
The Administrator or Manager Recruitment and Selection Advisory Service is joint service offered in cooperation with the New Jersey Municipal Management Association (NJMMA).  The Advisory Service has three components:
Copies of ordinances adopted by municipalities, to be used merely as a guide in drafting your own regulations. Ordinances are organized by topic.

Legal Consultation

Consultation service to provide municipal officials and employees with legal knowledge and analysis.

Web Advisory Service

A service designed to assist you with a variety of web site and Internet issues important to you, regardless of whether your municipality has an existing web site or is considering developing one.

Fire & Police Arbitration Center

The police and fire labor contract service includes the Arbitration Reporter, police and fire contract provisions, police and fire salaries and a link to PERC.

Pensions & Health Benefits Resource Center

This collection of articles provides a current and historical view of the issues associated with the State of New Jersey's approach to pension and health benefits reform and its impact on municipalities.

Volunteer Background Checks

There is a new process that has been put in place by the New Jersey State Police, Bureau of Investigation (SBI) that modifies the procedure for volunteer youth organizations to obtain background checks on volunteers and employees.  Those municipalities that require such checks for youth organizations should be aware of this new method for obtaining such checks.
