THE FOLLOWING BILLS WERE ENACTED
AS PUBLIC LAWS OF 2004
:
Chapter 71S-129404/14/2005

Adds requirement under "Uniform Fire Safety Act" for one and two family residences to be equipped with a portable fire extinguisher to be enforced upon a change of occupancy.

Chapter 72A-181604/18/2005

Requires DLPS to establish policy for State Police and local law enforcement in working with Safe Return Program to recover lost individuals with Alzheimer's Disease and related disorders.

Chapter 75S-169204/26/2005

Changes liability of underground facility operators with respect to certain provisions of the "Underground Facility Protection Act."

Chapter 79A-348104/26/2005
Changes the educational degree requirements for executive directors of housing authorities and redevelopment agencies.
Chapter 84S-129805/04/2005

Requires certain public entities to competitively bid in order to provide pupil transportation services to a local school district.

Chapter 86A-260505/04/2005

Increases penalties for failing to yield at crosswalks by $50; dedicates extra money to DLPS pedestrian safety program.
