THE FOLLOWING BILLS WERE ENACTED AS PUBLIC LAWS OF 2003:
Chapter 196S-242912/16/2003

Prohibits discharge of untreated or pre-treated wastewater from Superfund former landfill sites into publicly owned treatment works; and imposes certain remediation requirements on Superfund former landfill sites with radionuclide pollutants.

Chapter 199S-236701/08/2004

Revises statutes concerning criminal history background checks; permits counties and municipalities to enact ordinance or resolution requesting background check for official governmental purpose.

Chapter 209S-236001/08/2004

Prohibits municipal ordinances and homeowners' association rules from limiting display of American flag, yellow ribbons and signs supporting U.S. troops.
