As you begin preparations for contract negotiations with your respective unions, you may want to consider the League’s Arbitration Service, which includes several publications available for purchase:
Selected Police & Fire Contract Provisions (published as two separate booklets annually), which includes contract data collected from many police and fire departments throughout the State (these booklets contain data for Patrol Officers and Firefighters only, the information provided in these booklets do not include Superior Officers).
Selected Police and Fire Salaries (published as two separate booklets annually), which includes salary scales for many police and fire departments throughout the State (these booklets do not include the salaries of Superior Officers).
Arbitration Reporter, which includes summaries of the most recent arbitrations awarded (published quarterly).
In addition, as a free service to our League members, you may contact our Staff Attorney, Matthew Weng, Esq., who will, in consultation with our League Labor Counsel Brian Kronick, Esq., address your issue. You may contact Matthew at (609) 695-3481 extension 137.
