STATE, FEMA JOINT FIELD OFFICE IN NEW JERSEY TRANSITIONS TO SANDY RECOVERY OFFICE
LINCROFT, N.J. – The Federal Emergency Management Agency is transitioning its current disaster Joint Field Office operations in New Jersey and New York to the Sandy Recovery Office on January 15, 2014.
The SRO will continue to support disaster recovery operations for the two states from the former JFO field offices in Lincroft, NJ and Forest Hills, NY. In addition, the SRO will coordinate all federal agency funding designated for Hurricane Sandy long-term recovery operations in both states.
Laura Phillips is executive director of the Sandy Recovery Office, responsible for overall policy and direction of operations in New York and New Jersey. John Covell is director of the New Jersey Sandy Recovery Office and is responsible for day-to-day operations there. Robert Imbornoni is director of the New York Sandy Recovery Office and is responsible for day-to-day operations there.
