Re: Free Limited Membership in International
Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA)
Municipal Clerk, please copy your mayor and municipal attorney
Through an arrangement between the New Jersey League of Municipalities and the IMLA, municipal attorneys representing New Jersey Municipalities with a population under 2500 are now enrolled in IMLA Lite, a limited membership with terrific benefits.
The limited membership includes IMLA’s bi-monthly publication The Municipal Lawyer, IMLA’s bi-weekly e-newsletter update on important cases and developments affecting local governments, and the membership allows registration at IMLA programs, including its highly praised Annual Conferences and Seminars at the member price.
The IMLA Conference and Seminar offer exceptional networking opportunities to meet with attorneys from around the country and Canada while attending highly rated educational programs that are approved for CLE credit in every mandatory CLE state. While these programs are open to non-members, the membership price is significantly less and can provide real value in obtaining desired or required CLE credits. In addition to the annual programs, IMLA has begun offering additional programming on substantive law and practice topics important to local government practitioners. Limited members can also enjoy these programs at the member price.
I invite you to visit their website at www.imla.org. I hope you will find their website useful and a primary gateway to local government law practice with features such as the IMLA blog, career center, and easy access to event information and information about advocacy activities.
In the near future, New Jersey municipal attorneys will receive a welcome letter from IMLA with full information on how to access members section of the web site and other member benefits.
If you have any questions about the IMLA Lite membership, please call Michael J. Darcy at the NJLM office 609-695-3481 extension 116, or for specific membership benefits contact Mary Vlach, Associate Director for IMLA Membership Services, 202-466-5424 ext. 7106 or Email: email@example.com
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
