LEAGUE OF MUNICIPALITIES ADOPTS SIXTEEN RESOLUTIONS
AT ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING

League Conference delegates acted on 16 resolutions at the annual business meeting held during the League’s 96th Annual Conference on Thursday, November 17, 2011.     

The approved resolutions cover a wide range of subjects, including the hiring of Municipal Court Administrators, unemployment for seasonal employees, additional local revenue options, how utilities can better serve the public during major outages, and calls for sustained funding for water and transportation infrastructure.  In addition, a resolution honoring the distinguished service of outgoing League President Chuck Chiarello, Mayor of Buena Vista was unanimously passed. 

The resolutions were screened by the League Resolutions committee, chaired by League President and Mount Arlington Mayor Art Ondish on Tuesday afternoon of the conference week. In total, 18 resolutions were considered, and ultimately 16 were approved.
