Important Conference Session INTERLOCAL COOPERATION
As you know, we have already sent six letters high lighting sessions related to a particular theme. Today, we want to give special notice to a single tandem session, which will go in depth to cover one of the most mentioned areas of municipal administration in New Jersey, today.
On Wednesday, November 19, at 2:00 P.M., join us in Room 415 for “Interlocal Cooperation Success Stories – Part I.” League Board Member and Somerdale Mayor Gary Passanante, who co-chairs our Property Tax Reform Task Force, will preside. Mayor Passanante also serves as a Member of the Local Unit Alignment, Reorganization and Consolidation Commission. Speakers, including League Interlocal Services Advisory Coordinator Greg Fehrenbach, DCA Commissioner Joe Doria and DLGS Director Susan Jacobucci, will discuss best efforts and technical and regulatory assistance available from Trenton. Practitioners Joseph Verruni, Jonathan Rheinhardt, Gregory Bonin and Mark Finklestein will discuss their hands-on experiences with interlocal cooperation.
And, at 3:45, stick around for “Interlocal Cooperation Success Stories – Part II and An Update on the Local Unit Alignment, Reorganization and Consolidation Commission.” Speakers Maria Sirimis and Gary LaVenia will continue the discussion of practical experiences. Then LUARCC Charter Members, Mayor Passanante, Marvin Reed and Bob Casey, will discuss LUARCC’s task and progress, since its first meeting in April of this year.
For more information on these, and other, sessions, visit the League’s website at www.njslom.com.
Very truly yours,
