Proclamation – October National Planning Month
As you may know, October has been designated National Community Planning Month. Given all the planning initiatives facing our municipalities here in New Jersey I thought it particularly appropriate that we reflect upon and recognize the importance community planning plays in our daily lives.
To commemorate this designation, the American Planning Association has drafted a proclamation for municipalities to consider adopting at their governing body meetings. (http://www.planning.org/ncpm/proclamation.htm) The League is pleased to distribute the sample proclamation for your consideration. If you choose to adopt the proclamation, please inform the NJAPA office via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and your municipality will be recognized on their website (http://www.njapa.org/).
Throughout the years, the League has been a strong advocate promoting planning initiatives that are in the best interests of municipalities. So we wanted to bring this to your attention.
Many thanks for your consideration.
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
