The New Jersey League of Municipalities Education Foundation has published its eleventh paper in Foundation’s “Friends of Local Government” Policy Paper series.  This paper, written by Patrick Murray, the Director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute, is entitled, “Communicating with Constituents when State Policy and Local Jurisdictions Collide.”  The Board of the New Jersey League of Municipalities Education Foundation thanks Mr. Murray for this paper and his ongoing contributions to the public dialogue.

In case you have not ordered your copy, this is a reminder that the 2011 Municipal Salary Report is available.  This booklet lists the salaries for various municipal positions throughout the State of New Jersey.  Positions include, but are not limited to elected officials, managers, administrators, clerks, chief financial officers, public works, health officers, welfare and recreation and many other positions

Our 2011 edition features calculations of both average and median salaries for full and part-time positions.  As we have done in previous editions, we have included statewide and county-wide average and median salaries for EVERY position surveyed.  The positions have been separated and calculated by fulltime, part time, or hourly.
